Computing at Coal Clough Academy, intends to provide a high quality and broad education, which prepares pupils for continuous, evolving technology.

The Computing curriculum equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand real world problems, and their solutions. Pupils of all abilities have the opportunity to build on skills & cultural capital experience. Ultimately, pupils will become confident coders, creative thinkers and responsible online citizens.

At Key Stage 3, pupils build on a combination of computing and digital media skills, whilst addressing the gaps in their knowledge. At Key Stage 4, pupils are given the opportunity to study a qualification that equips them with the skills and knowledge for computing within the workplace, giving them a variety of skills that are used within the modern world.
